Breast Cancer to Bones and Liver
My wife has been fighting reaccurance of breast cancer 2 years now. We have just learned that she has developed a 3" tumor on her liver which is causing pain and she has been vomitting all the time. My wife stopped taking chemo 3 months ago and began a Micro Biatic diet through the Kushi institute. I do not have the faith in this but have supported her decision because of the hard time she had on chemo. With this onset of the tumors on her liver should I try to force her back into the chemo treatments or respect her decision on the quality. The quality seems to be going away sue to the tumors on her liver and her lungs and are causing pain. It is hard to stand by and see this happening. my 59 yr Old Father Diagnosed With Lung Cancer.
I have looked for answers on what to do and where to go to save my Daddy but I am so lost. I've read many of the attached stories and now know that I am not alone. My father just turned 59 in September and was diagnosed with cancer on 9/20/2006. We have been told that it is non- small cell cancer and it has already spread to his liver and bones. It is in all levels of his spine, ribs, pelvis, and proximal femurs. The cancer is not in his neck or brain at this time or in any other organs except the liver. The primary malignancy was located in his left upper lobe of his lung. He was told today that his cancer was inoperable. Does Everyone With Stage 4 Cancer Get The Same Prognosis??
My mom, who is 63 was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in May. She did 4 treatments of FOLFLOX. She was not doing very well, no side effects from the chemo, but was very depressed. Her oncologist decided to stop treatment because my mom was failing to thrive. They ordered a PET Scan which unfortunately showed that the cancer had metastasized. It did not go to her liver or lungs, but is now in more lymph nodes. Has anyone out there had this kind of metastasis? We have found many who have it go to their liver or lungs, but so far no one who has it go to other lymph nodes.
